Bear Cubs - STUDY VISIT TO GRANJA FAUNA AND FUN

Visiting a farm was a wonderful activity, educational and entertaining for children. They explore the animals, plants and different processes that occur in the farm. 

Children feed the cows, horses, rabbits, baby chicks, baby pigs and more. They also touched exotic animals. It was very funny! Enjoy the pictures.

Physical Education classes are important because:
1. It promotes academic learning.
2. It's a program for muscle strength and fitness.
3. It builds sel esteem.
4. It develops cooperation and teamwork.
5. It promotes a physically active lifestyle.

We use a variety of materials every day. Some materials occur naturally and come from plants or animals or are found on the earth. Many other materials are man-made like plastic and glass.

ODD NUMBERS: Any number whose last digit is 1 , 3 , 5 , 7 or 9.

Bear Cubs - PREMIACIÓN DE LECTURA

Nuestros compañeros MARÍA FE MENENDEZ Y SEBASTIÁN JOBLING fueron premiados por su hábito lector como los "Mejores Lectores del Bimestre". Ambos formaron parte de los 5 primeros puestos de niños de primaria que alquilaron libros durante el primer bimestre e hicieron uso de la biblioteca.

Bear Cubs - Hares - Meerkats - 3 R'S

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle are the three "R's" that Grade 1 students practice every day at the classrooms. 

Mr. Marquito collects all the recycle materials and put them every Friday in an special place. 



We also had the visit of the 3 R's Captain. He told us some important information about our environment and invited us to join in a conference. Here we have some pictures of the moment.

Fossils are the stone remains of animals or plants that were ones alive. Fossils can be the bones of a dead dinosaur or his big footprints on the sand.

Bear Cubs - Hares - Meerkats - ROCKS

Rocks are non-living things. 

Rocks are different.

Rocks are everywhere.

    Let's watch a video about rocks. 


2. Pictures:
    We put all the rocks together and create a "Rock's  
    Museum" inside the classrooms. The museum stays
    up throughout two weeks. Students could explore
    explore in the museum whenever they have some free
    time.

3. In the Lab:
    I present to the children a rock collection and they
    share them out. The most popular was the "Pirita"
    rock.
